The Blank

Shown in the picture is the top 8 foot of the same 8 foot 9 inch master blank that produces the 2070, 6 foot rod blank, --- being flexed along side a Lee Wulff model 2074 8 foot rod. The deflection is virtually identical.

By eyeball, the blank diameters match all along the length. By micrometer, the blank is slightly thinner, the difference possibly due to the green finish coat on the rod.
